Karisa Taylor, E-RYT 200
Karisa grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado. Her love affair with yoga began when she moved to England in 2020. With limited activities available, she found herself on the mat every day, syncing breath with movement and falling in love with both her body and the practice.
Karisa completed her first 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2022 and soon after began teaching in Fort Collins. She quickly developed a passion for guiding others in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, focusing on breathwork, alignment, and creating a welcoming, supportive space for students of all levels. Her teaching style blends technical precision with intuitive movement, ensuring that each student feels empowered in their practice.
Beyond teaching, Karisa expanded her expertise by receiving her Reiki Master training, which she seamlessly weaves into her slow and restorative flows to cultivate deeper energetic healing. She then immersed herself in an intensive six-month experience at Nereus Retreats in Costa Rica, where she not only deepened her personal practice but also assisted in two teacher training programs. This hands-on experience reinforced her ability to mentor and guide aspiring yoga teachers, refining their skills and helping them build confidence in their own teaching. During this time, she also pursued continuing education in Yin and Yoga Nidra, further broadening her knowledge and approach.
Upon returning to Fort Collins, Karisa embraced teaching at three different studios, continuing to refine her skills while building a strong yoga community. Her commitment to learning and supporting students at every stage of life led her to earn her Prenatal Yoga and Doula training certification in 2024, equipping her with the knowledge to guide expectant mothers through a mindful and empowering practice.
Karisa’s dedication to her personal growth and education continually inspires her teaching, allowing her to bring a depth of experience and wisdom to her students. Whether leading group classes, teacher trainings, or private sessions, she fosters an atmosphere of mindfulness, connection, and self-discovery. Outside of the studio, Karisa loves to travel the globe and spend time in nature, always seeking new experiences to enrich both her life and her teaching. She is humbled and grateful to share this journey with others, helping them cultivate strength, balance, and a sense of belonging within their practice.
