Kelly Clayton
Kelly Clayton is the owner of the English language bookstore Semi-Colon Books here in
Costa Rica. The bookstore features a curated selection of new and used books in
English for all ages. Kelly has a very large TBR list and prefers thrillers and non-fiction,
but also enjoys fantasy, sci-fi, romance, and general literature. She is obsessed with
memory, storytelling, and pop culture. Semi-Colon Books is located in Santa Ana (near
San Jose) and participates in the National Reading Festival, various book fairs, and
monthly book discussions. The bookstore often hosts events because Kelly believes
that talking about books builds community and connection. There’s nothing better than
a discussion that starts with “have you read”!
